Raccoons are ever abundant within Atlantic City being one of the most common creature living there.
Brown Bats and Little Brown Bats are the two main species of bat within Atlantic City. Brown bats are an endangered species. Their biggest threat besides predators is White-nose syndrome. Their lifespan on average is from 6-7 years.
The little brown bat uses echolocation to navigate around the surrounding environment and identifies prey. Echolocation is a means of emitting a call in order to judge the time it takes for the pulse to return. It’s estimated that they produce around 20 calls every second while flying.

Seagulls are the most common bird found on beaches or any coastal area. They are probably the most hated bird as well. They are omnivorous birds and they practically eat anything thrown at them as they are dumpster birds. They have a lifespan of up to 49 years but usually average about 10-20
Ospreys are found all over the world in every continent except Antarctica. They are carnivorous birds with a wingspan of up to 71 inches.
They primarily eat fish but they also eat rodents, rabbits, small birds, frogs, and even snakes.
Their main predators are bald eagles, great horned owls, and raccoons with their biggest threat being overhunting and egg collecting.
They prefer to nest in tall trees near freshwater rivers and lakes.

The spotted lanternfly originated in Asia but made its way to North America.
The biggest threat to spotted lanternfly’s are humans as they are invasive and humans have been told to kill them if they are seen. Other predators consist of wasps and other insects.
They primarily live in trees and they are herbivores.
The lanternfly is often confused for a moth but they are planthoppers.
They have a lifespan of up to 1 year and they usually lay from 20-60 eggs.
Mosquitos are one of the most common insects in Atlantic City and in most places for that matter. They are known to carry diseases and create numerous issues wherever they are. The biggest threat to them is habitat destruction.
Their predators are almost everything that is not a mosquito. They are omnivores but can often be seen drinking blood from other creatures. They can eat nectar, honeydew and other plant juices as well.
They have a lifespan ranging from a few days to months.
